Hardfacing is a tribology-related process that applies a hard, wear-resistant material to a part’s surface to extend its lifespan and improve its resistance to wear, abrasion, and impact. Union Tech hardfacing capabilities include HVOF (High Velocity Oxy-Fuel) spray carbides (Chromium Carbide, Tungsten Carbide, Stellite, etc.), spray and fused coatings, and electroplating.
Union Tech employs state-of-the-art metrology equipment and techniques to ensure the quality of manufactured components. We not only employ CNC coordinate measuring machines for metrology but are also well staffed with NDE/NDT technicians employing methods, such as PMI, DP, and MP.
